Our Vacation Stay-cation!

So last Thursday was my Birthday and we had talked about making our way down to St.George for a little getaway, but after a night partying  we realized we were really kinda not prepared and Chris needed to work Friday morning and I would spend the morning running around like a crazy person trying to pack and take care of the kids only to have to pile in the car for a 4 hour + drive and really would only be down there for Saturday since we would get there in the evening and then have to make our way home Monday, and lets be honest Gas is like dang near $4.00 a gallon so yeah we decided to have a stay-cation vacation. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
We ventured our way to Provo Friday afternoon and went to the Provo Beach Resort. We checked it out, let Hadley ride a ride, then walked in the beautiful sun around the River woods shops then we went and saw Mission Impossible 4 i think? (whatever the new one is there are a few of them now) It was really good and we all enjoyed the 2 hours of quite time eating our COKE CORN as Hadley calls it aka Popcorn.  Then we went to Jimmy Johns and enjoyed a nice dinner together. Love that place!  Then after that we went for Ice Cream and a little Easter shopping! Friday we got a call from some really good friends to go to the Zoo with them and their darling little girl Sierra.  We thought about it and new it was supposed to be in the upper 70's and warm but due to get windy later on so we said YES and went right when they opened so we didn't have Dace out in the Winds.  It was perfect! The girls loved it we rode the train and saw all the animals.  It was a perfect Day.  After they took us out to lunch to celebrate my Birthday to the corner bakery cafe in SLC it was yummy! I ran into an old friend and enjoyed the visits we had together.  We then did a little shopping and tried to miss the conference traffic and headed down to Orem to let the girls sleep and do a little more shopping and then Dinner at the Tommy's BBQ joint it was also very tasty and we were pooped and so were the kids it was a fun day and time and so fun for really Dace a boy's real big first outing!

Sunday we enjoyed watching a little Supercross and watched our favorite rider take home the title with like 5 more races yet to happen so that was a treat, and watched a little conference that was sure a good couple sessions with really good messages.  Then we made a delicious Cafe Rio Salad and headed down to Grandma and Grandpa Provosts for a little cards and treats. Then we tucked the kids in bed and Chris and I played some Call of Duty on his Xbox he has been wanting me to play with him for like 6 months now and I finally found a little time loved our game time together and he thinks it's pretty neat to.  Needless to say we had so much fun just staying around home and enjoying a few things we don't usually do. I think we started a new trend because we were in bed early Sunday!
